We, are in Masala business for last more than 90 years, this is our 4th generation who is leading this venture. we are established in the oldest and one of the famous and trusted Lalbaugh Market which is situated in the heart of the city, Mumbai. We are fortunate enough to get flourish in the blessings of Lalbaugh cha Raja, who’s sacred feet are just inches away from our establishment.
In the year 1935, Late Shri. Pandurang Ganesh Walavalkar, started this spice business at Nal Bazar, Mumbai. By selling groceries on the bustling streets of Nalbazar, and gradually he built his place in the famous Lalbaugh Market in Mumbai on the strength of his hard work and dutiful personality he brought stability to this business.
This legacy was later passed on to his sons Late. Shri Janardan Pandurang Walavalkar who contributed immensely to The same and created its credible place in the market and passed it on to the next generation at a very young age. And then a two young talented brothers Late. Shri Ankush Janardan Walavalkar and Late. Shri Lahu Janardan Walavalkar filled new colors in this business. Mr. Ankush was gifted with many arts like painting, poetry, writing, and inherent understanding of spices, He had used his skill to create quality delicious spices.
His insistence that the spices should be made by selecting quality raw materials from all corners of the country, and this is how our consumers picked up the Malvani Masala the king of Walavalkar’s as well as Kanda Lasun Masala, Magic Masala, Pavbhaji Masala, Fish Masala, Biryani Masala, Goda Masala , Garam Masala , Mutton Masala started holding its grip on the market and maintaining its place in the minds of every customer. The business grown day by day.
We had taken another shop in Lalbaugh Market Mumbai. Demand for our spices has started increasing from locals to abroad. we have made our own mark by standing strong in the market with our dedication to give best of the spices , as we strongly believe and acquainted with the Indian spices, we don’t need any MSG, Taste enhancer to make it better and addictive. The spices that we use are sourced from where they harvested, we roast them in proportionate to get the flavours on and then we pound them instead fine grinding, which intact oil, aroma and the medicinal properties of the spices in our Masale.
